About OOH

OOH stands for out-of-home advertising or in other words outdoor advertising is a new-age solution to market your company. In the last couple of years, there has been a constant increase in the use of Digital Marketing. Digital marketing leaves some blank space, and Outdoor Advertising fills this space. The culture of Outdoor advertising takes us back to the early civilization days when this term was first heard. The first-ever time this idea came into the mind of Johannes Gutennbury when in the 1450s he invented the movable printing type, which later in 1796 evolved into a poster that was illuminated. With time, it later evolved into posters that were a little better in qu In the 1830s, the American people used roadside advertising to market their business like posters on the walls and fences so that people could notice them. In the 1850s, billboards were now in trend. Even some national associations were formed to understand this medium ad even expand it globally. Even during the war times, these mediums were now used as a purpose to educate and inform the general public. Outdoor advertising in India has been around since British colonial times as a communication medium. At that time, hoardings, later called billboards, were erected on buildings and monuments. The first outdoor advertisements in India were for liquor products like whisky and brandy.' Indoor advertising and print were the dominant media for outdoor advertising for a long time, but then came billboards. The first outdoor billboard was noticed on Mount Road in Chennai in 1925. This would be a signpost that led people to the Pallavaram Bridge so that they could cross over to Tiruvallur from Madras.
